Referendum Move Endorsed

The July meeting of the Rangitaiki branch of the Labour Party was held in ' Walsh’s Tearooms, Edgecumbe, with Mr G. King in the chair.

A good deal of business was dealt with, and a motion was passed endorsing the Government’s proposed referendum on military training. The general discussion concerning inis endorsement brought forward some interesting and instructive details, all members taking a lively interest in the matter.
