CEITCHLEY TOPS SENIORS AT EVENING SHOOT A most enjoyable shoot was held by the Legion Rifle Club at the Winter Show Building on Thursday evening. The usual diversions between shoots, of cards and darts were once again in full swing, and greatly appreciated by all present. Scores follow: —• Junior Section: A. Bathe 89, A. Baker 78, N. Judd 68, B. Needham 62, R. Bell 59, E. Kane 59, B. Furze 52, T. Stubbs 51, D. Baker 37. Senior Section: J. A. Critchley 93, L. Stewart 89, C. Bathe 88, R. King 87, E. R. Hunt' 85, G. Goodall 84, R. Whittaker 82, M. Whittaker 81, W. Tyssen 79, E. Bathe 78, C. Coates 77, D. Hills 77, L. George 72, E. Middlpmas 69, P. Kane 66, H. Andrews 63, M. R. Thompson 60, A. G. Judd 57, G. Furze 53. On handicap L. Stewart and A. Bathe tied for the silver teaspoon trophy, and in the shoot off Stewart was succesful, scoring one point ahead of A. Bathe. R. Whittakes was the winner of the Own Start sweepstake, shooting the score he had nominated himself. During supper, at the . conclusion of the shoot, N. Judd was presented with the miniature cup he won for scoring the highest average in the Junior section for the last year’s shooting.
