Safety Signs Wanted At Te Teko Bridge
Support of a request from the Whakatane District Pony Club to have safety signs erected at the approaches of the Te Teko bridge on the Whakatane-Te Teko state highway, was made by the Whakatane County Council at the monthly meeting yesterday. There had been several accidents at the approach, Cr D. C. Butler said, and warning signs were urgently needed. The council decided to support the suggestion and referred it to the Works; Department at Tauranga for action.
