Magistrate’s Court Cases
Convicted of stealing a carton containing ten bottles of ale and two of stout to a total value of 27s from William Murray Dawson at Te Teko on June 5, Wiremu Hunia was fined £4, costs 235, and ordered to make restitution of the value of the liquor, 275, when he was dealt with by L. Walton, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Whakatane yesterday. Desmond Daniel Aydon, who converted to his own use a bicycle worth £lO on' or about March 12 at WTiakatane, was convicted and fined £5, costs 10s. Driving a motor truck along Caulfield’s road, Otakiri, on April 17 in a manner which might have been dangerous to the public cost Peter Henry Kingi a fine of £2, costs £l. Constable R. F. Julian prosecuted for the police in. all cases.
