THREE SHIELD GAMES ON SATURDAY

On Saturday both the Rangitaiki and Whakatane Rugby Sub-Unions will be playing representative games. In the Hurinui Apanui Shield elimination round Rangitaiki meets Tauranga at Tauranga and Whakatane plays Apanui at Whakatane. The and Whakatane B teams will meet at Matata in the first challenge game of the year for the Moore Shield, of which Rangitaiki are the present holders.

Besides the Hurinui Apanui Shield game at Whakatane there v/ill be a primary school curtain raiser at 1.30 p.m. between the East and West schools. The junior competition is to continue and United will meet Taneatua on No. 2 Field at 1.30 p.m. ‘ RANGITAIKI REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS The following players have been selected . to. represent Rangitaiki against Tauranga in an elimination game for the Hurinui Apanui Shield at Tauranga on Saturday:— Fullback, N.
