Waimana Stud Buys Fine Jersey Bull

An event of considerable interest to Jersey breeders all over New Zealand was the sale held last week at Hamilton of a consignment of Jersey bulls and heifers from the home of the Jersey, Jersey Island. This is the first shipment of stock from Jersey Island to New Zealand for about 20 years and there was an attendance of about 4.000 people at the sale.

Of particular interest to the Bay of Plenty is the fact that the first bull in the catalogue fell to- the bid of Mr I. F. Savage, of the Tuhoe Stud, Waimana. This bull was “Jester’s Aim” and should prove a definite acquisition to the Jersey breed as he is, in the opinion of tnany good judges, one of the finest bulls to come to the district.
