WHAKATANE SUCCESSFUL AT CAMBRIDGE
On Saturday, ten members of the Whakatane Legion. Rifle Club travelled to Cambridge to compete in the Waikato Championships. The standard of shooting was high, and Mrs Critchley, Whakatane, was successful in winning the women’s championship, scoring 92 out of a possible 100. In the Junior Championship A. Bathe, Whakatane, with 90 came second equal, 1 point behind the winner. 'ffi'
In the team shoot Cambridge won the “Sam’s Musket,” with Whakatane second.
