Children Drink Over 2,000 Cups Of Cocoa

Over 2,000 cups of cocoa have been served to Awakeri school children, it was revealed at the monthly meeting of the Awakeri ParentTeacher Association, presided over fey Mr Worrell, who was elected chairman to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mrs Haultain. A report on the cost of the cocoa was made by Mr Anderson and the meeting decided that the Association would pay for all cocoa consumed by the children for the remainder of the term. There was some discussion as to whether a fancy dress or a plain dress ball should be held on July 22. No decision could be reached so it was left to a referendum of all parents to decide.
