New Band’s Progress
In the short time since it was first established, the new St. Andrew’s Highland Pipe Band at Whakatane has made remarkable progress. Already a new'set of drums has been bought, and there is every reason to hope that uniforms will soon be acquired. Meanwhile the band is practicing regularly twice weekly and is reported to be coming on well. There is to be another dance on Tuesday night to help to raise funds.
