Croquet Club’s Annual Meeting
At the annual meeting of the Whakatane Croquet Club there was a good attendance a very cheering augury for the coming playing season. Mrs Burgess was in the chair. Mrs Burgess reported on the year’s play which she said had been quite enjoyable on greens that had been in good condition. It was decided to hold card afternoons during the winter with progressive and Flag 500 on alternate days. The first one will be held next month. Election of officers:—
President, Mrs Carling; vice-pre-sidents, Mesdames Comer and Woollams; secretary, Mrs Kane; committee, Mesdames Burgess, Shaw, Loane, Sutherland, Dillicar, Stone, Cruse, Bridger.
