Australia To Play Bay At Whakatane
Confirmation of Whakatane as the venue for the Australian v Bay of Plenty rugby match on August 20 has been received by the secretary of the Bay Union, Mr_P. Bryers: Whakatane, from the New Zealand Rugby Council. Preparations for seating, changing facilities and accommodation for the Press and broadcasting representatives are being proceeded with by the Whakatane Rugby Sub-Union. Advice has also been received that the Bay ,of Plenty v Waikato game is to be played at Hamilton and not at Cambridge as was originally arranged. The date, August 6, will remain the same. On that day both senior and junior representatives will play.
