Te Teko Pony Club

There was an atmosphere of keen anticipation at the first rally of the Te Teko Branch of the Whakatane Pony Club, held in Glen’s paddock on Sunday. The attendance was good of both senior and junior members. Mr Thomas addressed all members and outlined the movement. Mr Lyon, assisted by Mr Melrose, then formed a troop which was followed by a parade of junior and associate members.

The rally was brought to a close and the ladies then served a picnic lunch. Next rally will be advertised at a later date.

Riders present were: F. Ward, S. Eivers, C. Bunn, T. Griffith, K. Thomas, R. Burr, N. Goodwin, Mrs McNaught, D. Bunn, L. Goodfellow, B. Doidge, B. Thomas, L. Goodwin, G. Thomas, D. Burr.
