Plunket President Farewelled
The Rangitaiki Plunket Committee farewelled the past president, Mrs A. Thomson, at a social evening held at Mrs J. B. Speirs’s residence. Several competitions caused much merriment, and community singing made the evening go with a swing. After a toast to the guest of honour, Mrs Speirs presented hex; with a bouquet and shoulder spray, made by Mrs R. Sutton, and a pottery vase as a token of remembrance from the committee. Mrs Thomson suitably replied. After an enjoyable supper Auld Lang Syne brought a very happy evening to a close.
