SCHOOLS The work and the activities of Maori and district schools will be on display in the main hall, and remember your boy or girl will be keen to show the work of his school to his parents. Do not let them down by failing to patronise the Show. SPACE All records have been broken by the sale of space. 15,000 feet of space has been sold to the Motor Trade, to the Separator and Milking Machine Companies, to the Radio and Electrical Trade, to General Businesses and to New Zealand’s premier Side Shows. Tractors, trucks and new cars will fill the supper room and the new 3000 floor space of the motor pavilion that is being rushed up to meet the greatly increased entries. BROADCASTING Mr Collins, the Director of IYZ Rotorua, is making special arrangements to broadcast the opening of the Show at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, and tens of thousands will know that Whakatane is again on the Winter Show Circuit. SIDE SHOWS Yesterday the Winter Show Executive received the following telegram: “Ferris wheel, popcorn and candy floss arriving Friday. Kind regards Drew.” This is the great wheel that because of its size and removal expense does not usually visit the country, and it was only due to the efforts of the Show Executive that it is coming to this Coast. POULTRY SHOW This Show opens on Friday, June 24 in the Poultry Pavilion at 2 p.m. and already the entries are nearing a record. ENTRIES (General) * It would ease the pressure if exhibitors would post in their entries at once. MEMBERS Membership tickets have been posted to each Winter Show member who paid up to last Saturday, and all other members will receive their tickets as their receipts come to hand from the Executive Committee. If a member fails to get his membership ticket notify the Secretary at once. Owing to the change over initials and names are sometimes not clearly defined, and the 8year interval from the last Show has added to the difficulties of the committee and office staff. TRADE SPACE The Executive regrets that no further applications can be received for trade space as every foot of frontage has been sold. * For information the following telephone numbers will be in commission: H. G. Warren, Esq. President, Day 355, Night 369 Richard Cohbe, Secretary , Day 398 D. Night 169 A. Assistant Secretary, Mrs E. J. Cleaver, 476 D. Richard Cobbe, Secretary,
