STOCK SALES COMPLETE DISPLRSAL of the INGLIS” JERSEY STUD” The property of MR I. D. McKAY • To be held on the property of the TE PUKE FLAXMILLING CO. LTD., PUKEHINA, TE PUKE on MONDAY, JUNE 20, 1949 at 10 a.m. (sharp) The complete offering includes:— 92 Pedigree Jersey- Dairy Cows 28 Pedigree in-calf 2 and 3 -year Jersey Heifers 35 Pedigree Yearling Jersey Heifers 3 Pedigree 3-year-old Jersey Bulls 1 Pedigree 2-year-old‘Jersey Bull 3 Pedigree Yearling Bulls 2 Pedigree Stud Jersey Bulls 164 HEAD 26 Grade Dairy Cows (with records of over 4001bs fat) Through inability to secure a suitable and large enough Mr McKay has decided that instead of reducing his herd he will give the public the full benefit of his breeding and offer his complete stud for— UNRESERVED DISPERSAL. The main herd of 70 cows was walked through from Wairoa in 7 2 weeks some years ago, and in spite of this long walk averaged 3061bs butterfat (factory returns) for that season. A notable feature is that of approx. 70 cows eligible for classification only seven have ever been put up, and he secured 4 H.C.’s and 3 C’s in a drought year. Intending buyers will have a wonderful opportunity to buy cattle which will classify very well as a result. The foundation cows were by a wonderful sire in “Glamorgan Soumise,” and cows by “Danlavin Goldmine” and “Trump Card,” both bulls from the stud which produced the selling success obtained by Mr A. C. Lovelock this season with yearling bulls of that breed which averaged over 100 guineas. Most of the younger cattle are by “Te Kaia Beau Vite,” grand champion at the National Show and Sale some years ago, and paternal brother to “Beau Pere” with tested daughters up to 7001bs fat. This is a wonderful opportunity to buy really good dairy type cows with quite good butterfat backing, and founded from some of the best strains of the breed in New Zealand. DAIRY MEN ! ! !
