WHAKATANE MEN HOLD OWN WITH ROTORUA A Bogey competition held on Saturday resulted in a win for Hannah, 3 up, with Conway, 1 up, runner-up. On Sunday the club played a visiting team from Rotorua, the local team managing to hold their own on the home course. A Stableford held in conjunction in the morning was won by Bull, 35, with Roach, 34, runner-up. Bull again won th honours in a Bogey competition in the afternoon with a score of 2 up, the runner-up being I. A. Wylds, all square. Tomorrow’s Draw A Four-ball Best-ball Stableford will be held tomorrow, Saturday, and players are requested to arrange their own partners and starting times. On the following Saturday, June 25, the qualifying round for the Fortune and Founders’ Cups and Flights will be held, which will be played in 3-ball formation as follows:

A game against • Waimana was played last Sunday. Rain spoiled play but all enjoyed the-day. Waimana gained the honours after the count up. TE TEKO WOMEN Tomorrow the first round of the Te Teko trophy will be played by women members of the Te Teko Golf Club.
