Edgecumbe Silver Wedding

A most enjoyable evening was spent at the home of Mr and Mrs H. M. Carter, on Saturday when their many friends gathered to celebrate Mr and Mrs Carter’s Silver Wedding Anniversary. Games and competitions formed most of the entertainment, a Mock Wedding created lots of fun and laughter, and Mr C. Zinsli’s mind' was very entertaining.

Mr L. Martin, on behalf of those present, congratulated Mr and Mrs Carter and presented them with a silver fruit bowl. Mr Carter suitably replied. After a delicious savoury, a very fine wedding cake was cut.

Wall competition winners: Men, Messrs R. Withy, S. Hawkins and A. Sinclair. Women, Mesdames H. G. Hawkins, Tom Roberts and S. Hawkins.
