IJEAVIER TANEATUA TEAM WINS
Beaten by a heavier side which played together more as a team United showed a reversal of form cn their showing of the previous week when they lost to Taneatua in a fast senior Rugby match at the Whakatane Domain on Saturday. Play swept from end to end quickly with some good individual dashes. Towards the end the heavier Taneatua pack took charge and the game ended with them on attack.
Taneatua’s points came from three.' tries, 1 by Sisam and 2 by McGougan, two conversions by Welch, a penalty goal by McGougan, and a field goal by Welch. WAIR AKA WINS RAGGED GAME
In a rather ragged game in which there was no doubt as to the stronger team Paroa went down to Wairaka by 17 points to three in a senior Rugby match at Whakatane on Saturday. Although play swung from one end of the field to the other some movements were marred by bad handling although towards the end of the game it brightened considerably. Wairaka: G. Lawson, Martin, M.
