WINS FOR AHUWHENUA AND RUATOKI Two League matches were played on the Ruatoki Domain on Saturday between Ahuwhenua and Tumatauenga and Tuhoe and Ruatoki. For Ahuwhenua H. Black on the wing played a brilliant game, Jacob at five-eighths maintained his usual ability in tactics of cutting in and opening out the game I. Blake, Stone and S. Whetu were the pick of the forwards. Tries were scored by S. Whetu 1, S. Martin 1, H. Black 1, B. Weko 1. Tumatauenga’s only try came from Jumbo, a likely candidate for international games under this code. The game ended Ahuwhenua 18, Tumatauenga 5. Referee; Mr F. lopata.

The Ruatoki-Tuhoe game was won by Ruatoki 26—8. Tries were scored by Barney 1, Hina 2, Oki 1 M. Tawera 1, H. Biddle 1, M. Tekapo 1. Tries for Tuhoe were scored by C. Reha and M. Fraser. Referee: Mr Whetu.
