Two Motor Vehicles Recovered

Two motor vehicles were stolen from Whakatane on Monday evening but have since been recovered by the police. A car owned by Mr A. G. Judd, Whakatane, was taken from where it was parked opposite the wharf but was recovered yesterday at Awakeri in an undamaged condition. The other vehicle, a motor truck-, owned by Mr H. Morgan, ,was taken from in front of the cpunty council yards early in the evening but was recovered damaged soon after on the beach at the Heads. A man is being held by the police charged with converting the truck but inquiries are still being made concerning the car.
