The reason for these being sold is because this client is milking 130 on his own and these have not responded to the non-strip method of milking. On account Client: 23 Yearling Ayrshire Jersey Heifers. Auctioneer’s Note: Mr D. W. Shearer is only retaining pedigree cattle in his herd and under these conditions is selling all his Grade cows, heifers and yearlings. Cows: His cows have produced as follows: 22, up to 2751 b fat this season to date; 18, up to 3301 b fat this season to date; 25, over 330 and up to 4311 b fat this season to date. They are looking exceedingly well and are all due to calve in July and August. Heifers: The heifers are showing well in-calf and are in good condition. The bulk of them have sires well worth while mentioning in Ngahiwi Bronze Sam, whose dam has a record of 4461 b fat at 2 years and the bull is closely related to Brampton Dreaming Sam and also to other Dreaming Sam bulls. The Yearling Heifers are looking well. Seven of them are by Broken Hill Martin, a well backed sire with a V.H.C. dam. Bulls: Two outstanding registered pedigree 2-year-old bulls are to be offered: One by Ngahiwi Bronze Sam (see above) and out of Parahina Beauty, H.C., with 5401 b fat on 0.H.T., and the other by Lily Oak Nero, a son of Kalora Royal Prince, C. 8.8., and out of Rosewood Sunny Morn, H.C., 4111 b fat.
