Indoor Basketball
WHAKATANE TEAMS FOR GISBORNE Men’s and women’s ‘teams of the Whakatane Indoor Basketball Association are travelling to Gisborne this week-end to take part in a King’s Birthday tournament. The teams will play other visiting teams as well as the combinations from Gisborne and will return to Whakatane on Monday night. The Whakatane teams have been practising hard for some time now and their games at Gisborne • will give some Idea of the standard of play in this district. WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS Men Morpeths beat Kings. Athletics beat United. Athletics beat Aces. Kings beat United.
