THE TERROR BY NIGHT
Sir,—The author of “All The World Loves Lovers” failed to omit the drivers and riders of cars and motor cycles, whose door slamming, gear groaning, exhaust and horn hooting pandemonium are sufficient to raise the population of our cemetery (whose expired lease of respectability is being renewed). To be deprived of or torn from .the arms of Morpheus by such sweet sorrowful partings, prompts wakeful and awakened victims to devise -revengeful schemes such as, boiled in oil, locked in their cars or chained to their machines until they pray for release &c. &c. All in direct opposition to the ardent vows and delectable views of the future so’ enthusiastically exchanged. The only alternative is, Pat’s mother’s suggestion to her too ardent son, “Hurry up Pat, you’ll loose your thrain. Say all your good byes when you come back.” Yours etc.,
HARRY SERGANT. You just wait until helicopters ge,t really popular!—Ed.
