Miss L. Manning, Whakatane, is spending this week-end at Matamata.
Mr Owen Cameron, of Thornton, goes to Auckland this week-end to bring back his father, who has been in hospital there.
Messrs C. H. Brebner, county engineer, J. L. Burnett, council chairman, and C .G. Lucas, county clerk, left on Wednesday to represent the Whakatane County Council at the New Zealand Counties’ Association annual conference' in Dunedin.
