Boxing LOCAL LAD IVINS AT TAURANGA A bright and enjoyable Boxing Carnival was staged by the Tauranga Boxing Association on Monday night. The Whakatane Boxing Club sent three representatives over to fight,

but unfortunately only one fought, as the opponents of R. Jones and G. Thompson failed to put in an appearance.

I. McKenzie had an easy win over J. Carson. In the first round lan was troubled by the wild swinging Carson, but in the second and third he had his man missing badly and scored freely with straight lefts and a nice snappy right cross. * Results:—
