20th Birthday Of Taneatua W.D.F.F.
A very happy afternoon party
was held in Taneatua when members of the W.D.F.F. and their
r guests met to celebrate the 20th •'birthday of the W.D.F.F. Mrs Hay--ward presided over a good attendance. The afternoon took the form of a garden party with games played on the lawn. Crazy croquet was won by Mrs Gardner and quoits by Mrs Bennett.
A peg competition was won by Mrs Grey and a wall competition by Mrs Gardner, A soft toy competition was won by Maureen Ball and a dinner by Miss Verna Reeves. A well-stocked bring and buy stall was soon sold out. After a delicious afternoon tea had been served the birthday cake made by Mrs Downes, was cut by Mrs Gardner, retiring secretary. The afternoon concluded with thanks and good ,wishes from the guests.
