Fall Over Cliff

A narrow escape from almost certain death was experienced by a . Matata rabbiter, Mr J. Leckie, when he fell over a 300 feet cliff at Pikowai, just out of Matata, on Friday. Mr Leckie was riding a horse along the edge of the cliff when the ground gave way. The horse felj and Mr Leckie with it but as he fell Mr Leckie was able to grab a branch of a tree growing from the face of the cliff. The horse 'fell ttiv the bottom and was killed, while|>— Mr Leckie escaped with strained ' shoulder muscles.
