Progress On State Houses
Good progress is being made with State houses at present under construction at Whakatane. In all the frames of ten have been erected of which nine have the full outside walls on. The roof of five of the dwellings have been completed and another was expected to be ready early this week. The carpenters are continuing to do ; as much work on the exterior of the houses as possible while the weather holds. In this way they are providing work for the tilers while they are in the district and also when the weather breaks they can fcarry on with interior work.
