' WHAKATANE BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY The Society wishes to thank the large number of helpers who despite the inclemency of the weather, came along and made a splendid start towards cleaning up Domain Road Cemetery last Saturday morning. The Society specially appreciates: (1) That some helpers came many miles to assist. (2) The excellent morning tea provided by ladies of the Presbyterian Church. The working bee will be continued next Saturday morning, May 14, commencing 9 a.m. sharp. Different clubs and organisations in Whakatane are invited to co-operate. Be sure and come.
