Galatea Forms Own Table Tennis Club

A meeting was held in the Galatea School last week with a view to forming a Table Tennis Club. It was not as well attended as was hoped but this was, no doubt, due to another meeting being held the same night. However, the people present were very keen and duly elected Mr R. Nettleton as club captain and Mrs C. Allen as secretary. A table had been made by two of the people present but it was decided to buy another one with a posbility of obtaining more should the club membership warrant it. Wednesday nights in the school were fixed as club nights and it was hoped that as many as possible would come along and help to enjoy the games.
