He liked New Zealanders better than Australians and wished, he had spent more time here, said Mr H. Graves, of Merseyside, England, who is visiting Christchurch. “It did not take me long to discover that all the swans on your Avon are ducks,” Mr Graves added, with a smile. He said that Christchurch had been one of the places he most wanted to visit in New Zealand because “it is always mentioned at Home as being so English.”
