The cattle to be offered are, in the main, from Ivondale Waif’s Hero, whose dam has records up to 8841 b fat, and Cranbrook Vagabond Owler, a double grandson of Lucy’s Vagabond, one of the best breeding sons of Vagabond of Oaklands (Imp.), C. 8.8. These heifers are all closely related to Vagabond of Oaklands (Imp.), C. 8.8., either on the side of the .sire or the dams, and should prove good buying to anyone interested in good cattle. * Also to be offered is a small entry of 5 in-calf heifers and 2 yearling bulls on account of Messrs R. M. and W. C. Watkins, of the “WINROY” Jersey Stud. Messrs Watkins only have a small place at Katikati and have come to the stage when they must sell their surplus. The in-calf heifers are by the sire, Tamaki Flag’s King, which is closely related to the famous Fairy Flag’s Raleigh, C. 8.8., and from dams with records up to 3601b‘fat at 3 years. them. Such well-known blood as Vagabond of Oaklands (Imp) C. 8.8., Kolora Royal Prince, C. 8.8., Ku Ku Bonny Owler, C. 8.8., Lobelia Palatine Sultan (Imp) C. 8.8., etc. Most of the younger cattle arb by Cloverfields Electra Sam, a son of Oddicombe Dreaming Sam, C. 8.8., from Penrose Elect, V.H.C., daughter of Ku Ku Bonny Owler, C. 8.8., and the cows and heifers are all in calf to either Electra Sam or Oddicombe Royal George, a son of Greenlane Owler Again, with wonderful show record and out of Oddicombe Georgette, V.H.C., with records up to 5931 b fat as 2-year-old.
