•Should the wishes of the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union be granted it is possible that some important matches will be played in the Bay this season. For a start matches are wanted with the Maori All Blacks - and with the touring Australian side. With this in mind, delegates ,to the New Zealand Union were given very definite instructions at the annual meeting at Matata. One of the main requests is an y allocation of reservations to all important. matches. A tour by the Bay of Plenty representative side through Gisborne, Napier, Taranaki and Waikato is wanted and fixtures are wanted for the junior representative side. An itinerary is to be arranged for the Auckland Colts.
