LODGE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
Celebrated recently in the Awakeri Hall by members and kindred societies, was the 15th birthday of the Whakatane M.TJ.1.0.0.F. Lodge.
Toastmaster was Group Officer P.G. Bro Quayle, and the list follows: . “The King”; “Manchester Unity and the Auckland District,” Bro Dobson P.D.G.M., reply by Bro Quayle, P.G.; “Loyal Whakatane Lodge,” Bro F. Haingl P.G.-, Bro A. A. Atkinson N.G.; ‘The Visitors,” Bro A. W. Jones P.G., Bro C. Merrie P.G.; “Kindred Societies,” Bro J. C. Harris P.G., -Bro A. Jesperson (Edgecumbe Druids) and Bro L. Henderson (Whakatane Druids); “Sisters,” Bro A. J. Atkinson P.G., Sister F. Storer P.G.; “Brothers,” Sister L. Dobson 1.P.N.5., Bro Attwood P.G.; “Absent Friends,” Bro G. 'W. Attwood.
Toasts were also accorded the pianists and toastmaster. Music was supplied by Bro Harris, Sister Busby and Bro Briggs. Sketches on Lodges were given by Mr H. Haeusler.
