Wedding

Petersen—Jensen

The wedding took place at. Knox Presbyterian Church, Whakatane, recently of Thelma Irene Mary, eldest daughter of Mr and, Mrs- N. C. Jensen, of Edgecumbe, and Jack, eldest son of Mrs Petersen, of Tauranga. The Rev J. H. Starnes of Edgecumbe officiated, and the sister of the bride, Miss Shirley Jensen, was soloist, accompanied by Dr Cole at the organ.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of brocaded satin cut on classical lines. Her tulle Veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a trailing bouquet of roses, carnations and double margueriti daisies. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Muriel Jensen, assisted by Miss Shirley Jensen', sisters of the bride, both wore frocks of b|ue satin. The head dresses were pink feathers and flowers attached to blue veils, and they carried trailing bouquets of pink roses, carnations and dahlias. Anthony Jensen acted as page boy. Mr James Simons carried out the duties of best man, while Mr Jens Jensen was groomsman. Mr and Mrs Petersen will make their future home at Thornton.
