SLIP CRASHES INTO CABINS AT OHOPE

When a small outcrop, of earth slipped off the side of the hill behind the Hostel at. Ohope on Monday at about 3.45 p.m., it slid down against a number of small cabins anc| pushed in some of; the walls. Nobody in the cabins received any injury, although there' was some damage to goods. A cabin occupied by a young married couple was extensively knocked about and having no other accommodation the. occupants were looking desperately for alternatiev living quarters on Monday afternoon.

Apparently the outcrop of earth was loosened from the cliff by the heavy rain during the previous night and Monday morning.
