Country Library Service Wanted
A decision to renew a previous application to the Borough Council for the institution of the Country Library, Service, was made at the annual meeting of the Whakatane Library Committee. Short reviews of selected books, for the information of the public were discussed and it was decided to submit reviews by members of the committee, for publication. - Officers elected: —
President, Dr E. T. Dawson; secretary, ,C. W. Good; treasurer, . R. King; 'committee, Mesdames Carr. Winstone,' J. W. Wilson, Moylan and Lovelock, Misses Lawes and Seebeck, J. £)uthie; auditor, L: D. Lovelock.
