Finnish Paper Production Finnish paper mills are expected to operate at full capacity soon, reports the World’s Paper Trade Review. Production was curtailed up until the end of the first 1948 quarter, due to electricity restrictions, which have since been removed.
“Musical” Appreciation An Auckland woman who had been to one of the operas was asked by a student of singing what she thought of the singers. Assistance to war widows and their dependants at Whakatane is to be given by the V/hakatane Rotary Club through the Heritage movement it was decided at Tuesday night’s club meeting. The Returned Services Association is already doing such work and the Rotary Club is to decide next week what steps it will take in giving its assistance.
