Drunk Cyclist
Arrested by Constable R. F. Julian on Saturday evening, Walter Tokina, Whakatane, pleaded guilty in the Police Court on Monday to having been drunk in charge of a bicycle. Mr C. G. Lucas and Mrs D. C. Petty, J’s. P., fined him £2. Constable Julian said Tokina had persisted in riding the bicycle after having been warned that he was not in a fit condition to do so. He had spent the night in the lock up.
