UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING There was a fair attendance of. seniors and a good attendance of juniors at the annual meeting of the! United Football Club, when' the following main officers were elected:— Chairman, Mr R. S. Buttimore; treasurer, Mr J. Taylor; secretary* Mr G. Goodall; Club captain, Mr A. Norman.
The meeting considered reports, from the chairman and the various - committees, and the general feeling: was that a fairly satisfactory season j had been held. Prospects forthe new season seem good, provided that the club is able to recover and maintain the old feelings of enthusiasm.
There was some criticism of last, year’s social events, and the clubshowed its determination to im—pove the aspect by introducing a. completely - new policy. The meeting concluded by resolving that the interests of Rugby im the district were of greater importance than partisan spirit, and the*, concurrence of the public with thisc view must be the clubs’ main ob- ; ject.
