Murupara Road To Be Improved
Some investigation on the Te Teko-Murupara road of the line from the Pokairoa Stream towards Murupara was recently carried out, stated Mr C. H. Brebner, engineer of the Whakatane County Council at yesterday’s meeting. By diverting the road at one place, Mr Brebner found that the distance would be reduced by 50 chains and a bad piece of road would be replaced by two long straights with little work and good grades. The work is to be carried out by millers.
