Awakeri Y.F.C.’s Annual Meeting
In his report to the annual meeting of the Awakeri Young Farmers’ Club in the Awakeri Hall last week, the past chairman, Mr C. A. Haultain, said that during the year the club held 11 meetings, 7 field days, 4 lectures and 3 film evenings. In the recent stock judging competitions the club was successful in winning a first and third place. The District Chairman, Mr J. M. Barr, took the chair for the election. Officers elected: Chairman, Mr B. W. Mundy; secretary, Mr D. G. Martin; treasurer, Mr C. A. Martin; senior advisory member, Mr E. C. Haultain; advisory members, Messrs D. Allen and L. Roberts; auditor, Mr N. W. Carter; vice-chairman, Mr D. R. Missen; publicity officer, Mr G. H. Missen; delegates to District Committee, Messrs B. W. Mundy, D. G. Missen and E. C. Haultain; delegates to P.M.A., Messrs S. Luttrell and D. R. Missen; delegate to local Calf Club, Mr C. A. Martin; delegate to Porker Competition, Mr B. J. Wilson. '
Mr E. . Marryatt, Secretary of the District Committee, and the District Chairman then addressed the club, giving some very helpful and interesting advice. The evening concluded with supper provided by members.
