A war veteran who came out of World War I with shattered nerves and £2OO, has now £12,000 to his name.
While he has been in mental hospitals, court-appointed guardians have invested his money profitably, first in bonds, then in a farm. At 47, he could live on the weekly income without working, but doctors say he will never be fit to leave Falls City Institution, Nebraska.
