Bay Junior Tennis Championships
Whakatane competitors achieved a good measure of success in the Bay of Plenty junior residential tennis championships held at Tauranga over the week-end.
R. Mahy won a fairly easy , final against H. Cameron of Tauranga in the boys’ singles championship 6/2, 6/2. ■ *
" MisS G. Black, Opotiki, won the girls’ final from K. Christie. Tauranga, 6/3, 6/1.
Wilson, Taneatua, won the boys’ plate from Alley, Awakeri, 6/1, 6/4, and Miss M. .Raureti the girls’ plate from Miss B. Piper, Rotorua, 6/3. 4/6, 6/4.
