Some Action In Auckland Industrial Dispute Wanted

• A meeting of the executive of Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Bay of Plenty Province) held in Tauranga last week, decided, following a discussion on the present industrial dispute in Auckland, to send a telegram to the Auckland Employers’ Association commending the association for the firm action it was taking in insisting that the finding of the Arbitration Court be upheld. A further telegram is to be sent to the Prime Minister requesting the Government to take immediate and effective action to resolve the Auckland industrial dispute and to insist that the finding of the Arbitration Court be upheld. Any extension of the dispute, the executive considers, will have serious effects on the transport of primary produce.
