Capital Punishment
The Leader of the Opposition, Mr Holland, stated in Wellington that if the National Party is returned at the General Election it will reintroduce capital punishment. Also, in the cases of life imprisonment 'tor murder, steps would be taken to see that the sentence would mean, in fact, imprisonment for life.
