Import Licences May Be Granted For Fencing Pliers
Advice that the Controller of Customs will sympathetically consider applications from importers fqr permission to import fencing pliers has been received by the Organising Secretary of the Bay of Plenty Province of Federated Farmers, Mr E. J. Vosper, from the General Secretary of the New Zealand Federation.
This advice, in view of the present unprocurability of fencing pliers throughout the Bay of Plenty is of considerable interest to farmers. Mr Vosper told a Beacon reporter that the best course to adopt is for individual farmers to get their merchants to press the importers to make application for import licences for pliers.
