He cannot hold up his head, sit erect or turn from side to side. You, his parents, have to do many things for him. Lie him on a firm mattress. 3. if you give him a pillow, see that it is small and FIRM. 4. Having provided these , tuck baby down as follows — Tuck cuddly blankets around the shoulders only. Place him on his side in the cot. Bring forward the Sower elbow. Tuck enveloping blankets over baby and under mattress.
