An Appeal For Golf Clubs

The natives in the Cook Islands have just started a golf club, said Judge J. Harvey to the Whakatane Rotary Club on Tuesday night. They are becoming very keen on the game and it is gaining a big following.

“However,” he added, “they are very short of clubs and most of them cannot afford to purchase any. If there is anyone in this district with golf clubs or heads to clubs that they would be willing to give I shall be pleased to receive any.” Anybody who can give clubs may send them /to Judge J. Harvey c/o Maori Lands Department, Rotorua, who will undertake to pass them on to the Cook Islands.
