Awakeri W.D.F.F.
The Awakeri Women’s Division of Federated Farmers held the February meeting in the Awakeri Hall after a recess of two months. Mrs Haultain presided and the attendance was fair. Several gratifying letters were read from recipients of parcels sent to England. The roll call “Childhood Anecdotes” brought fourth scftne very amusing incidents. Competitions':—• ' ’ • Flower: Mrs Knight 1, Mrs L. 'Carter 2, Mrs Rust 3. Fruit: Mrs Brizzle 1, Mrs Rust 2, Mrs C. Wilson 3. Vegetabel: Mrs McKenzie 1, Mrs Fabish 2, Mrs Rust 3. Jam tarts: Mrs F. Matchitt 1, Mrs McGougan 2. A dainty afternoon tea was served.
